Scientific progress and technological innovation generate new opportunities of care with a tremendous rate of new proposals every year. However, Governments are cost-constrained by definition and not all the promises of new benefits can be integrated in healthcare systems. The mismatch between innovative technologies and public resources requires healthcare systems to adopt decisional models aimed at reducing the loss of potential benefits to the lowest possible level. Participants will be made familiar with the decision process of Health Technology Assessment (HTA), and explicit and rational system of analyses (clinical and economic evaluations), dialogue with stakeholders and policy actions.
