Dr. Andrea Formiga obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Milan in 1996, and then specialized in General Surgery in 2002 at the same university. During the course of study, Dr. Formiga had the first field experience as a frequenting student in U.O. of General Surgery at San Giuseppe Hospital in Milan and subsequently at the Bollatesi Caduti Bollatesi Hospital in Bollate (MI). From 1999 to 2009 he was Assistant General Surgery at U.O. of General Surgery of the San Marco Polyclinic of Osio Sotto (BG). From 2007 to 2009, Dr. Formiga also worked as a tutor / assessor in the practical assessment apprenticeship for enrollment in the profession of surgeon.
From 2009 to 2013 he held the same position at the Istituto Auxologico di Milano and from 2009 to 2015 he was responsible for the Digestive Endoscopy Service of the San Carlo Caring House in Milan, performing about 1200 examinations per year. From January 2014 to December 2015, Dr. Formiga was the Head of U.O. General Surgery of the Surgical Pole Captain of Milan and as of January 2016 is the Head of the U.O. General Surgery of the Zucchi di Monza Clinical Institutes (San Donato Group).
Dr. Formiga has a wide-ranging certificate of surgery with laparoscopic and thoracoscopic surgery, medium and advanced for benign and oncological pathologies, endoscopic / surgical treatment of obesity and diabetes (BIB, Endobag, Endobarrier, Endostich, Obalon), gastric bandage , sleeve gastrectomy, digestive endoscopy, EGDS, diagnostic and operational colonoscopy, bronchoscopy.
Dr. Formiga is the author of many scientific publications and associates of national and international scientific societies, participates in national and international congresses as rapporteur and is a lecturer in Mininvasive Surgery courses dealing with the treatment of thoracic and abdominal disorders at the San Marco Police Clinic of Osio Sotto (BG).
